
Mikhail Gilyarov
Cardiologist
Mikhail Gilyarov is a cardiologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, born and based in Moscow. He received his medical education at the I. M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, graduating in General Medicine in 1992. After completing his degree, he undertook a residency in internal medicine, followed by postgraduate training in cardiology. In 2011, he defended his doctoral dissertation, focusing on key and highly relevant issues in modern cardiology.
Dr. Gilyarov’s professional career is closely connected with the country’s leading clinical and academic institutions. He has worked in the cardiac intensive care unit of the Cardiology Clinic at the Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, as well as at N. I. Pirogov City Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Moscow. His work combines clinical practice, scientific research, and teaching at the Department of Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
His main areas of professional interest include cardiology and internal medicine, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, and management of cardiac rhythm disorders. Dr. Gilyarov is the author and co-author of more than 170 scientific publications, including papers published in leading American and European medical journals. He is an active member of the international medical community and belongs to the European Society of Cardiology, specialized European associations in cardiac arrhythmias and acute cardiac care, and serves on an advisory board for stroke management. He is also a co-author of Russian national clinical guidelines on myocardial infarction and cardiac rhythm disorders.
